Today we drove 75 miles from our little spot at Emerald Lake, YT to Skagway, Alaska. We were not anticipating how beautiful the drive would be! Nor how cold it would be crossing the gorgeous mountains⛄!
We stopped in Carcross before heading south at the Chilkoot Bakery. Wow! The cinnamon buns were the best!! We also got a nice loaf of sourdough and had a great chat with the owners. Highly recommend this place!! The cinnamon bun was gone before we left the parking lot 😁.
From Carcross on, there were beautiful lakes and mountains all the way to Skagway.

with light rain and clouds most of the day. We took so many pictures - the views got better at every turn!
We crossed the border into Alaska with no issues
and drove the short distance to Skagway. We of course stopped at the Klondike Doughboy to get some fry bread!! You know, favorite food group and all....
Tonight we got a campsite with electricity and a laundry facility so that we could have a reset.
