Today we drove approximately 188 miles from our campspot in Peace River to the Racing River Bridge.
We stopped at Fort Nelson to get diesel, some more Canadian dollars, and to see the Visitor Center.
The weather was cool and beautiful most of the day, with a storm or two mixed in for good measure. We crossed Summit Pass - the highest point of the Alaska Highway with breathtaking views of mountains in every direction. We were so mesmerized that we didn't even take any photos! We are hoping our rearview mirror dash cam captured plenty of video to add later.
Summit Lake was unbelievably blue and looked so inviting.
And we of course stopped at the Tetsa River Lodge for some of their famous cinnamon buns.
We are camped out below the bridge along the Racing River. Dinner tonight is cinnamon buns 😁.
