Day 14 - Wednesday 7/1/26 - Bezanson AB to Peace BC

Happy Canada Day, Eh?! 🎆

Today we drove 318 miles from our campsite at Moody's Crossing near Bezanson, AB, into British Columbia, to the now defunct Prophet River Wayside Provincial Park at Peace River, BC.  It's now really just a pull-off on the Alaska Highway and a nice secluded Boondock camp spot for the night.

Our first stop was in Dawson Creek, BC, at Mile 0 of the Alaska Highway (also known as the Alcan Highway).  We finally made it!

We also stopped at a small Co-op and picked up a few groceries.  We got some Nanaimo bars to try - yum!

What a beautiful drive on the Alaska Highway!  Every turn was more gorgeous than the last, and we went from sun to rain and back again, with unbelievable rainbows making everything seem magical.

Every electronic device we have seems to show a different local time, so we're never really sure what time it is anywhere (but alas it is 5:00 somewhere!).  The sun is still shining and it is now between 10pm and midnight, we believe ⏰.

We saw more signs telling us to watch for moose today, but... still nothing.  Maybe tomorrow.

Favorite sign:  Slippery When Frosty
Favorite road name:  Right At

Favorite bridge name:  Bougie Creek Bridge

Tonight's dinner was homemade freeze-dried chicken noodle soup.  Yum!
