Drove about 350 miles yesterday to Laura Ingalls Wilder RV Park in Mansfield, MO. Staying here for two nights to regroup and organize a little bit. The kitties needed a break too. Cleo is napping here.
The Ozarks are beautiful! We're eating some of our freeze-dried foods we spent the last year preparing... vegetable beef soup Friday after a long drive, Joyce's beef bbq for Saturday lunch, and meat loaf, mashed potatoes and green beans for Saturday dinner!
Today we drove 230 miles, and made it to Savannah, TN. Staying in the Hollow Hideaway Cabins and Campground. Stumbled across a fish fry at Central Valley Volunteer Fire Department in Florence, AL - yummy!
Some GMRS Rockie Talkies will be going along on this adventure. Great for simple communication off-road, or around the campsite or boondock site.
What is a GMRS License and How can I get one?
Found some indoor/outdoor magnetic (waterproof?) wireless WiFi cameras. Four (4) came in a package (only offered in 'white'). Will be nice to have when not driving for sticking on bumpers and other things. They are powered by internal rechargeable batteries and come with short USB-C charging cables. So far during our testing, they work pretty well.
Still packing for the trip - (and unpacking, and packing again...). Tools are the most difficult. Which ones and how many?
We removed the two (2) back seats and built (version 0.1) of a platform instead to store items under and on top of (will cover with automotive carpet + add pneumatic struts later). Lots more storage area now!
